Synopsis
This narrative unfolds around a young heir residing in a sprawling mansion, safeguarded by two devoted butlers, Vincent and Kain, who have become akin to brothers throughout his upbringing. The heir is known for his playful antics, often creating mischief for the more composed Vincent.
One fateful day, he stumbles upon a peculiar shop that specializes in mysterious potions. Intrigued, he instructs his driver to wait while he investigates. Inside, he discovers a potion advertised to "unlock hidden desires." Amused by the prospect of using it as a prank on Vincent, he acquires the potion.
That evening, under the veil of darkness, he stealthily enters Vincent's quarters and adds a drop of the potion to Vincent's drink. However, when Vincent returns and takes a sip, he begins to cough uncontrollably. Alarmed by this reaction, the young heir rushes to check on him, only to find himself subdued by Vincent's unexpected assertiveness. Initially taken aback by Vincent's behavior, he ultimately submits to the unfolding situation due to his guilt over the prank.
Once the incident concludes, Vincent regains his composure and offers an apology. The heir shares the details about the potion, and they both believe that it can now be regarded as a misunderstanding.
However, their dynamic shifts when Kain awakens the heir one morning with unsettling news—he witnessed that night’s events.
Characters
Vincent
Vincent serves as the head butler of the estate and regularly navigates the challenges posed by the heir's playful behavior. With an age difference of five years between them, he embodies a steady presence often concealed beneath his stoic exterior. Coming from a lineage of butlers devoted to this household for generations, he experiences an internal transformation after being affected by the potion; he grapples with emerging feelings for the heir that cannot be easily dismissed. When these feelings manifest, they unveil a side of him that contrasts sharply with his usual demeanor.
Kain
Kain is the younger subordinate of the heir and serves directly under Vincent. His innocent appearance belies a complex personality marked by sadistic tendencies. Raised in an orphanage prior to being taken in as a butler by the heir, Kain bears a sense of indebtedness that complicates his emotions towards him. While he feels a strong connection to the heir, he struggles to accept this as lustful desire, resulting in behavior that can seem harsh. After witnessing Vincent's interaction with the heir, jealousy begins to fester within him. Kain has taken up spying on the intricacies of the heir’s "intimate" moments as part of his increasingly intrusive tendencies.
